This is a value study done prior to a watercolor of my handsome grandson. The watercolor is yet to be finished.
It's been a long time since I drew a still life in pencil. I was given this home work task by one of my mentors, Albert Handell. What a wonderful pastel artist he is and a great man. I enjoy working in pastel in plein air and ala prima side by side. Wow what an amazing experience.
